First Group Go-Live with A-iP to automate 700,000 invoices per annum. First Group’s business case was based on achieving a no touch process on 40% of their total document volume. On Go-Live, A-iP delivered a no touch process on 50% of their documents.

Here are some of the comments about the A-iP service from Richard Emslie – Head of Shared Services for First Group about the project:-

"Implementation went well taking less than 12 weeks from blueprint through to go live.  The approach taken was flexible and practical solutions were found for all potential project issues which kept the project on track.

"The scanning service is excellent; we have a great relationship with the team at the A-iP Service Centre who we work in partnership with on all aspects of continuous improvement."

"Automation levels are steadily increasing; we are currently automating 65% of our invoices and are confident of reaching our target of 80%."

We have continued working with First Group on post go live improvements to increase the no touch percentage. Improving first time match is an iterative process as you need to assess the impact of the latest set of changes before the next set of improvements can be deployed.
